Good Friday

Even though there's hardly anyone in the station, we walk at the same pace we always do: fast. I get down to the platform and there's hardly anyone there for a few minutes, before a few more trickle down and we end up with our own mini-crowd.

The train pulls into the station, mostly empty, plenty of seats and lots of room in the center of the car, and one woman, watches the train's arrival with great interest. She peers through the windows as they flash by, her simile widening with each passing empty subway car.
